Content is no longer King
In a recent talk, VP of Marketing for Comedy Central, Walter Levitt, addressed the tagline, ‘Content is King.’ No longer does great material guarantee a great following. Marketing now spans a variety of mediums, almost all of them based on the concept of sharing. Word of mouth is still the most effective form of marketing, which is now amplified by the use of social media. This is not to say that content is not important- it is- but sharing and exposing that content is perhaps the most important factor of all. When writing your marketing strategy, don’t forget to share, share, share!
