Alzheimer Society of Canada

Firsts

Challenge

Establish the Alzheimer Society of Canada as the first point of connection for people with dementia.

Solution

Following 18-months of research across all stakeholder groups, Ramp developed a new over-arching strategy for ASC that was endorsed by the full federation leadership. Among innumerable insights that surfaced, we learned that people with dementia feel lost and hopeless at the point of diagnosis. They have no roadmap for the journey ahead and need to know where to turn. Ramp’s creative and strategy teams co-developed a campaign that positions the diagnosis of dementia as a pivotal first — like others in life, important firsts require care, support, and guidance through the next steps. The ‘Firsts’ campaign embraced those facing dementia with the warmth of community, the reverence they deserve, and hope in the form of knowing ASC is there beside them for every step forward.
