Options for Homes

Uniting Brands for Change

Challenge

Options for Homes and Home Ownership Alternatives have partnered for over 30 years to promote attainable housing in Ontario. They focus on increasing the supply of high-quality housing while offering comprehensive homeownership solutions, combining financial support with condo development. As the only non-profits in this space, their goal is to make homeownership accessible, not profit-driven. In 2023, they decided to unite under one leadership, which led to the need for a brand audit.

Solution

Our work resulted in a new brand architecture and visual identity approach that united the two brands under Options for Homes, with a sub-brand framework for future growth. We created a unified, modern look and feel for the Options parent brand and after a thorough naming exercise, we established the two sub-brands as Options for Homes Communities and Options Impact Capital. Our modernization of the Options for Homes brand included extensive updates to their online presence, brand murals for their office space, and a robust design system that was rolled out across social media and print assets.

Brand Identity

"Working with Ramp truly felt like having an extension of our own team. They invested the time to understand our organizations, our stakeholders, and what matter most to the people we serve. It was important that our new brand strike the right balance, elevated yet approachable, professional without feeling corporate, and authentic without leaning too grassroots. Ramp understood that. They helped us shape a visual identity that reflects who we are and sets us apart from traditional developers, while staying true to the impact-driven model at the heart of our work."
