BREAKING: B CORP CERTIFICATION ACHIEVED!
Things continue to boom here at Ramp and that’s BOOM with a capital B and that stands for Certified B Corporation ®. We’re officially Certified B Corps. We’re officially B-Corp certified, joining the ranks of other forward-thinking organizations like Patagonia, Business Development Bank of Canada, and PaintBox Catering (who by the way, provided the cuisine for our big office warming kick-off party at our new digs on Queen Street last night.)
As we told you last month, the journey to becoming a Certified B Corporation can be a long one, which is one reason why it is such an important accomplishment. It represents a collective of determined organizations that use the power of business to solve social and environmental challenges. It provides a set of guidelines and criteria that companies can use to ensure they are operating with ALL our stakeholders in mind, while building a positive culture and work environment, operating with transparency and creating legitimate social benefit.
“Building a ‘force for good’ business has always been a priority for us,” says Shelley Mayer. “We’re so pleased that becoming a Certified B Corporation provides a framework to help us do that and that our hard work has paid off with this achievement.”
Special thanks to Alex Burke who is in her final year of study in the Retail Management Bachelor of Commerce program at Ryerson University for her tireless efforts on our certification project.
